Determination of Mesh Stiffness of Gear—Analytical Approach vs. FEM Analysis

This paper focuses on modeling the time-varying stiffness of spur gearings, which in dynamic models transmission systems acts as an important element internal excitation system. Here are introduced ways to approach gear using analytical calculations, allow model course mesh depending its rotation. For verification used were created five different and based their geometry, respective curves analytically determined. Subsequently, a finite simulation was performed Abaqus CAE software. Due this software, it possible identify objectively compare further determine suitability gearing.
